So how is “touge” pronunciated? I said “tooj” with a soft j and I read somewhere that it was “tooj” with a hard j. Just recently and AutoX friend said “Toogay” and F’ed everything up.

Tge would sound more like “Toogay.” If you want to be even more accurate to the Japanese word, it would sound like ‘toe’ and “ge” with the letter E sounding like a soft e from something like the name“Emma.”
If you watch a lot of Hot Version, they say Toge a lot, so I think that can help.
